I designed and built several XR prototypes for science and technology visualization at the CSTI research lab.
The Fin Whale VR experience was developed with the CeNak museum Hamburg. They provided us with scan data of their full 25m whale skeleton. It consists of ca. 160 bones, each about 1 mio. tris, but without textures. The task was to develop a workflow that ensured display of the complete skeleton with full surface detail with a constantly high frame rate in realtime VR.
For an MR project with a smart object companion "Shelldon", I created an underwater environment and developed a physical-to-virtual exchange interaction (smart object by Jessica Broscheit and Gerald Melles).
For an MR exhibition, I built an abstracted scifi environment to visualize real time air pollution data (concept by Jessica Broscheit).
Additional coding by Jonathan Becker.
